I have used Crik for about 3 years now. I religiously use it as a shake that I add some frozen fruit to every morning. When I go on vacation I usually take it with me and put some in a shaker cup with water.
I like the taste and I love that it is so good for you. It's an organic whole food that especially is a great source of protein. It's great for a metabolism boost in the morning, and if you eat other healthy Whole Foods and exercise, it helps take off fat and add lean muscle mass. I lost a total of 70 pounds starting in 2008 until 2010. Crik is part of my daily routine that helps keep that weight off and keeps me healthy.
I've been putting Crik in my oatmeal and mixing with yogurt/condiments to ma me my own protein bars for snacks.
I am enjoying the cricket powder as a breakfast pre-workout smoothie. It sustains me for many hours, yet leaves me feeling light, as if I'm not having to work to digest. I would recommend it. Thumbs up!
I'm so excited to be sharing my love of this protein powder. Very delicious and satisfying.
I have tried dozens of protein powders over the years, as I'm sure most of the other customers have. I was intrigued by its very nature and it was on sale, so I bought some. I got the chocolate and the flavor is very good. It does have metallic notes, which surprised me since insects have different blood than mammals, but I guess blood is blood. Don't let that put you off. If you have tried any other protein powder, you know it can cause bowel distress, and you know how bad it can get. With Crik, there was absolutely no bowel distress whatsoever. NONE. I had ordered some Huel a month before getting Crik, and let me tell you, it got to the point that I could no longer function in public. I thought a body had to be dead to produce that kind of stench. Nothing like that happened with Crik. That being said, there is a whole section on this website about how easy, cheap, and sustainable farming crickets is. If that's the case, I'm curious as to why this stuff is so expensive. That statement is a bit rhetorical because I understand overhead and profit margin, but still. $60 for 20 servings feels steep, and like I mentioned up top, the only reason I bought some was because it was on sale. If not for that, I would give it five stars. Hopefully, wider sales will eventually bring the price down.
I bought the chocolate and sweet vanilla, and have been impressed not only by the taste, but how much easier the cricket protein is on the digestive system, especially compared to every type of whey protein I've ever tried. If you haven't tried Crik, my advice is to give it a shot.
i was a lover of the vanilla but since trying the chocolate my family has forced me to convert hahaha. i still enjoy both flavors myself
I was looking to increase my protein intake but wanted to stick to whole foods. Crik Nutrition was the perfect solution for me. It provides a great snack between meals and tastes great.
Great flavour and very easy on your body to process and digest unlike many whey protein powders. This protein doesn't make you feel like you had a heavy meal after your workout.
Love this product. Did a sampling at a Bodybuilding show and was excited everyone loved the taste as much as we do. It does not bloat your stomach like other protein shakes. It keeps you lean.
You absorb this protein, and grow your muscles is a healthy natural way. Jesus and the Israelites used to eat hundreds of different locust recipes, look it up. I'll put a scoop or two of raw peanut powder or cocoa powder for a delicious taste, but the vanilla alone is delicious as well.
Crik gave me more nutrition than other protein powders. It was very effective in building my muscles after a hard workout. The price is a little higher than other powders, but you get what you paid for. I will stop purchasing the other powders and buy Crik. I'm very satisfied with it.
As a person who has been looking for a source of protein that doesn’t upset my stomach, this stuff works. I have a smoothie every morning before I start my day and keeps me full til super time.
I did not specifically enjoy the taste as guarenteed, but I was able to drink it. The taste was very metallic, which I assume was the cricket exoskeleton. A little odd with just water, but it wasn't so bad when mixed with milk or almond milk. Thanks for letting me try it out!
Very happy to have an option to get a more complete protein than pea based protein and be able to avoid dairy based proteins.
I am loving my Crik Protein because it is the only protein that I do not have stomach issues. I get bloated and stomach ache even with the Organic vegan ones. I am currently only on Crik protein and am so happy. The taste is amazing, especially the chocolate.....
I’m complete fascinating with this protein... and of course I’ll recommend CRIK protein powder I just love it drink after my work out.
I have used whey protein powder for years and I do still buy my favorite brand but I am loving that CRIK gives me a protein option that has zero bloat and gas! I will toy with using it exclusively if and when the prices are able to come down to compete with inexpensive whey. If you are using your protein as fuel and not looking for a milkshake, then you will be happy with CRIK. It doesn't taste bad at all, but it is not like drinking dessert like some protein powders. Very happy!
